Even MORE going on in March!

Check out what else is happening in March!

- Wednesday, March 11th - Wear red & black in support of SADD
- Thursday, March 12th - ALL grade 5 students are participating in the Parkland Music Festival in Preeceville with their music class. We will be leaving the school at 9am and returning at around 1pm. Please bring a bagged lunch to eat on the bus during our drive back to Kamsack.
- Thursday, March 19th - ALL grade 5 students will be spending the day cross-country skiing at Madge Lake.
- Tuesday, March 31st - Report cards go home!
- Tues., March 31st & Wed., April 1st - Student-led Conferences from 3:30pm to 7pm each evening

Mucho fun stuff going on in March!

Check out the fun things coming up for 5A students in the next month:

- Wednesday, March 4th - Battle of the Sexes Assembly - wear pink if you're a girl and blue if you're a boy!
- Friday, March 6th - Pajama Day AND Pancakes for a Purpose (pre-order a pancake breakfast for $5 to help support Free the Children's food security project).
- Tuesday, March 10th - Standards Indoor Track Meet in Yorkton
- Tuesday, March 17th - Wear green for St. Patrick's Day!
- Friday, March 20th - Hockey Night in Kamsack - Help support the KCI SADD chapter and the new medical clinic by attending this fun event! Pay $2 to register and secure your spot on a team!
- Tuesday, March 31st - Tastes of the World cultural celebration (forms due March 20th)

The Countdown to Christmas Break is on...

  • Candygrams are still being sold for 25 cents and 50 cents while supplies last.
  • Non-perishable food items are being accepted for KCI's Christmas Hamper Campaign until Thursday, November 18th. Please help to support families within our own schools so that they can have some wholesome meals over the holidays. 
  • Bring two cans to donate to the Christmas Hamper Campaign on the evening of Tuesday, December 16th and get the opportunity to watch Disney's Frozen on the big screen in the gym! Popcorn and pop will also be sold. Proceeds will go toward KCI's Free the Children group's food security project.
  • There are several dress-up days coming up this week:
    • Red and Green Day - Tuesday, December 16th
    • Holiday Hat Day - Wednesday, December 17th
    • Holiday Sweater Day - Thursday, December 18th
    • Formal Day - Friday, December 19th
  • Don't worry about packing a lunch on Friday. That afternoon we will be sitting down together to enjoy Christmas dinner in the gym. :)

Agenda

  • Report cards go home on Thursday, November 6th. Student-led conferences will be taking place on the afternoons and evenings of Wednesday, November 19th and Wednesday, November 26th. A schedule for the conferences will be sent home in the coming weeks.
  • Photo retakes will take place on Thursday, November 6th. This is the last chance to get a school photo taken this year! 
  • There will be a Remembrance Day assembly at KCI at 11am sharp on Friday, November 7th. All community members are welcome to attend.
  • There will be no school for students on Monday, November 10th and Tuesday, November 11th.

  • Grade 5 Trumpet, Baritone & Trombone pull-outs is tomorrow - Monday, Oct. 27th
  • Photo orders are due Tuesday, October 28th!
  • The next magazine subscription collection date is also on Tuesday. This fundraising campaign ends at the end of this week with the last collection date being on Friday, October 31st.  
  • KCI Halloween Dance - Wednesday, Oct. 29th
    • 4:30pm - 6:00pm
    •  Admission is $1 with a costume or $2 without a costume
  • Togo Haunted House & Fun House - Thursday, Oct. 30th
    • 7pm to 9pm
